After being called out for embracing obesity as “self love” during a ‘South Park’ special, musician Lizzo is embracing a healthier lifestyle and took the joke head on for Halloween.
Lizzo debuted her Halloween costume as she came out wearing a box of ‘Lizzo’ with ‘South Park’ character Eric Cartman behind her.
The faux drug box had her name and some fine-print warnings like “Diet suppressor” and “For single patient use only.”
Lizzo embraced her obesity early in her career but for the last year has taken her diet and exercise more seriously as as she’s cut weight.
South Park released the weight-loss-focused episode back in May that took shots at drugs like Ozempic and rebranded it as “Lizzo.” “In case studies, 70% of patients on Lizzo no longer cared how much they weighed,” the fake commercial’s narrator stated.
